The response cards have indicated that our kick off dinner at MASTI restaurant was a great success. Our next meeting is planned on Sunday November 20th, 2005 at LAKHANI AUDITORIUM, Watchung, NJ. Meeting will start at 2:00pm & end at 7:00pm. Our agenda for the day is as follows..….
2:00 – General Announcement & Networking
2:30 -- Lecture on “Heart Diseases affecting Indian Population”,
By Dr.Anand Kulkarni & Dr.Rachana Kulkarni.
Followed by Questions & Answers.
4:00 – Coffee/Tea break
4:15 – Information about Club 55 website & Agenda for the coming year
5:00 – Stand up comedy by local artists, who gave a fantastic
Performance at BMM in Atlanta.
6:00 -- Light Dinner. The attendees will share expenses .($10/person) Seats are limited, please RSVP by November 10th, 2005, accompanied by a check or cash. Money will also be collected on Nov.6th at Marathi Vishwa Diwali function. Since we do not have everybody’s e-mail address, inform your friends who are fifty-five and over & interested in joining the club. DIRECTIONS TO LAKHANI AUDITORIUM
30 KRISTY LANE. , WATCHUNG, NJ 07069
1. Get on NJ TPKE (NORTH or SOUTH depending on your location) to get to Newark Airport (EXIT 14).
2. After paying toll, you have options to Follow Directions (A) if you take I-78 WEST. Follow Directions (C) if you take Route 22 West.
DIRECTIONS A: FROM I-78 (WEST)
1. Take Exit 41 for Berkley Heights on 78 West. Make a right at the STOP sign (at the
ramp). Go 400 ft. to the Traffic Light, make a right on Plainfield Ave. Go 1 mi. on
the curvy road and make a right turn at the first traffic light on valley road (527
South).
2. Travel 1.5 Miles on Valley Road and Turn left on to Jared Court.
3. At the Fork, make a left into Kristy Lane and go into CUL-DE-SAC.
DIRECTIONS B: FROM I-78 (EAST)
1. Take Exit 40 for Watchung on I-78 East. At the STOP sign, make a RIGHT into
Hillcrest Road (531 SOUTH). Drive 1 Mi. and make a left at T-Junction into
Valley road (527 NORTH). BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE TURNING LEFT AT THIS POINT.
2. Go one mile, and make a RIGHT into Jared Court (Third Right).
3. At the Fork, make a left into Kristy Lane and go into CUL-DE-SAC.
DIRECTIONS C: FROM ROUTE 22 WEST
1. You may reach US 22 WEST from Routes 1 and 9 around NEWARK AIRPORT or from GARDEN STATE PARKWAY EXIT 140 North Bound or from EXIT 140A South Bound (Union Toll).
2. From 1 and 9 take exit for 22 WEST, travel about 10 miles. Look for McDonalds on RIGHT after Scotch Plain Township sign.
3. From the PARKWAY connection take the exit for 22 WEST and travel about 10
Miles to get to the McDonalds after Scotch Pains Township sign.
3. Make second right from McDolnald's (Bonnie Burn Rd). At this turn, you will see a
Sign for 78 and Scotch Plains.
5 Pass 1st Traffic Light and go straight up the hill into curvy road. At the second
Traffic light; make a left turn on 527 SOUTH (Valley Road).
6. Travel 1.5 Miles on Valley Road and Turn left on Jared Court.
7. At the Fork, make a left into Kristy Lane and go into CUL-DE-SAC.
DIRECTIONS D: FROM I-287 (NORTH & SOUTH)
1. Take exit for ROUTE 22 EAST (NEW YORK). Exit is on LEFT IF YOU ARE ON Southbound 287.
2. Travel 8 miles and count 8 traffic lights.
3. After the 8th light pass ACME, HONDA and an OVERPASS with sign WATCHUNG NEXT RIGHT.
4. Make a RIGHT and follow signs to WATCHUNG (another RIGHT) and go across the overpass to a traffic light make a left at the traffic on Watchung Ave.
5. Travel 1 Mi. on Watchung Ave. which will merge into Watchung Circle. (You will see GETTY Gas station on your left) Once you get into Watchung Circle, take an immediate sharp right turn into Valley Road (527 NORTH). Travel less than a mile. Turn right into Jared Court (Third Right).
6. At the Fork, make a left-at Kristy Lane and go into CUL-DE sac
