Hope you and your family are well. Most of us came to this country with a degree and a dream – a dream to excel in life. We not only succeeded realizing our own dreams but have also created a blissful life for our family – all on the strength of heavily subsidized education, that we received in India. In short, faces unknown to us made it all possible.

Unfortunately, not everyone gets such opportunity in life. There are over 100,000 small pockets of humanity (i.e. tribal/remote villages) in India even now, where not even basic education has been rendered due to their isolation. "Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation" (charitable, tax-exempt in the USA) not only takes the education to their doorstep but also offers you a rare golden opportunity to give something back to our Motherland, as redemption to what we brought here as our greatest asset – Our Education.

                       With this objective to provide education to these disadvantaged, NJ Chapter of “Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation”, is hosting a fund-raising Musical Extravaganza on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Arsha Bodha Center, Somerset, at 4 PM. You and all your loved ones are cordially invited to in this “ Sangeet-Sandhya” by the award winning, renowned ‘Sushil Baweja Group’. For details please refer to the enclosed colorful flyer.

We would greatly appreciate your support for this divine cause and humbly urge you to pledge your generous donation by May 5, if possible. With just a dollar-a-day or rather $365/yr, "Ekal" provides basic Literacy and Healthcare education to a group of 25-35 young children (called ‘Ekal School’) in the remote villages. We request you to sponsor as many schools as you possibly can @ $365/School and be a part of this largest Literacy movement undertaken by the Indians & NRIs. At present, there are approx. 27,000 “Ekal Schools” in operation. This is also a testimony to “Ekal's” transparency of operation and administration, which has been consistently lauded as "exceptional".
